The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. Mission Statement:

The BIM Coordinator is an integral part of the design team who leads and coordinates the process of generating digital models and integrated data often referred as ‘Information’ about a project, from the design stage to the construction stage. The BIM Coordinator is often regarded as a chief figure in a project team and has responsibility for the BIM workflow and ensuring that any potential issues during modelling, clash detection and data conversion are dealt with efficiently. In general, the BIM Coordinator is the go-to person for setting up project specific guidelines and is responsible for linking information across disciplines. The BIM Coordinator and the Lead Engineer need to work side by side in the project. While the focus of the BIM-Coordinator is to keep the federated model up to date and highlight clashed and issues between the disciplines, the Lead Engineer should keep track of the negative impacts on the project timeline and related costs which might happen due to highlighted issues. It’s also the responsibility of the Lead Engineer to adjust priorities on the highlighted issues to avoid as many negative influences on the timeline as possible.

Your responsibilities:

  • Make sure general procedures defined by the BIM Manager are used during project execution

  • Prepare BIM execution plans and project specific training documentation.

  • Ensure that the specified BIM execution plan is followed during project execution

  • Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.

  • Proficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team.

  • Manage and maintain project content and source any additional content as required.

  • Understand and ensure any changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.

  • Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets/workflow and project set up.

  • Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support.

  • Frequent model management administration and maintenance.

Your background:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Have minimum work experience of 8+ years in BIM Processes.

  • should have experience in 3D modelling and coordination software (Revit/Tekla/Navisworks).

  • Strong in ACC/BIM360.

  • Good to have Strong knowledge of BIM methodology process and tools.

  • Very good in handling coordination tools like Navisworks or BIM360/ACC.

  • Should have exp in Microsoft office (Word and Excel).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
