About the Role

Ogilvy PR seeks a Senior Account Executive to join the team on a 6-month contract to work across a key consumer lifestyle brand in the retail sector. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects with significant media impact.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with broad consumer experience and a proven track record in communications, particularly earned media. Event management experience is essential, and experience with influencer engagement or social media is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a solutions-focused team player with a can-do attitude, strong stakeholder management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent project management abilities. A strong understanding of the Australian media landscape is crucial.

The role will include consumer media relations, social media management, influencer engagement, project, and team coordination. You’ll be relied upon to assist with day-to-day campaign execution as part of an integrated agency team, including:

  • Press office management
  • Identifying trends and earned media opportunities
  • Brainstorming creative ideas
  • Data sourcing and analysis
  • Case study sourcing and briefing
  • Briefing agency partners
  • Proofing media materials
  • Providing guidance on media strategies
  • Project management, owning campaigns from start to finish
  • Timeline review and management
  • Editing media materials
  • Event staging and management
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Attending meetings for key projects
  • Developing event materials, including run sheets
  • Reporting back to the business, including learnings
  • Drafting social media posts and adapting materials for internal communications

 

About You

  • You have broad consumer experience with a focus on publicity and event staging.
  • You possess excellent writing skills and a deep understanding of earned media.
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills.
  • You have an interesting story to tell and want to contribute to our business.  
  • You have strong attention to detail, thrive on meeting deadlines and establishing efficient processes, and you’re not afraid to get stuck in the admin.  
  • You have an enquiring mindset and uncover all sides of the story.  
  • You bring empathy and humility to all situations because you are a people person.  
  • You have sound time management skills and can manage several projects/tasks simultaneously. 
  • You are social media savvy and knowledgeable across various digital platforms and influencer engagement (a plus).
  • You are culturally curious and excited about the impact of creative thinking.  
  • You communicate clearly and transparently with your team.  
  • Above all, you are a team player.
