We are currently looking for a passionate Infrastructure DevOps Engineer focused on leveraging technology in innovative ways to resolve challenging problems in IT Foundation Services. From Foundation Support to Infrastructure Build-out, from Day 1 Onboarding to ongoing Engagement, IT is always at the forefront, delivering the most essential experiences to our internal and external customers daily. This position will report to IT Manager, Americas IT.

Working closely with our Overseas internal and external studios, HR, Finance, and various business teams, this role will be critical in designing, planning, building, and optimizing simple, sleek, cohesive IT blueprints, including the necessary solutions, platforms, applications, and processes. We believe this critical component will enable Tencent’s rapid employee and business growth in the Overseas market, including the Americas, Europe, and APAC.

Primary Responsibilities

• Communicate closely with studio customers and gain insights into business pain points and scenarios, combined with the characteristics of Overseas IT products and solutions, to help customers identify, collect, and resolve technical problems, and assist customers in the expansion, adjustment, and optimization of IT infrastructures.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions and automations integrated solutions spanning studio applications, data, and infrastructure, including on-premises and multi-cloud platforms, provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
• Drive efficiencies in infrastructure solutions such as VMware and Kubernetes technologies, which support both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
• Build business cases for studio solutions demonstrating the reduction in total cost of ownership and potential risk mitigation aspects. Consult customers on adopting DevOps, Infrastructure, and Data Pipelines to create more integrated and valuable solutions.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies that create strategic and tactical studio advantages.
• Directed by senior leadership, assist multiple concurrent complex IT projects and establish collaboration ecologies with internal and external studio customers.
• Provide expertise and technical direction in functional areas to bridge business requirements and IT solutions. Engage with studios to architect transformative efforts leading to robust and efficient solutions for large studios.

Requirements / Exigences:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 10+ years of working experience in IT Infrastructures and System Administrations, and 8+ years of working experience in Infrastructure DevOps.
• Strong experience in Virtualizations (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef), and Monitoring and Logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI), and Scripting Languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge and expertise in Agile/Scrum project management methodologies, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
• Able to work under pressure and find solutions to multiple and varying needs.
• It is a plus to be bilingual in English and Chinese and communicate in both languages with internal and external stakeholders.
