Job Description:

  • Location: Aldermaston
  • Flexible hybrid working (home and onsite - 50 % split)
  • UK/I Nationals (Due to nature of account, individual will either hold Security Clearance or be eligible to hold. Criteria includes being a British Citizen with no dual citizenships and has lived in the UK for the last 5 years consecutively.
  • Candidate must be eligible for SC/DV Security Clearances

About the role

  • We are looking for a role that will support an IT Application on a BAU and change basis       
  • BAU support any IT Tools environment (Agents and Management Servers)
  • Investigation and support of live issues
  • Support and maintenance of vendor Management Packs
  • Development of custom application Management Packs to meet customer requirements
  • BAU support of the allocated toolset
  • BAU Support of the of the allocated toolset
  • Production of technical design documentation (HLDs, LLDs etc)
  • Production of detailed work instruction documentation

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following tools: Any IT tool eg SCOM, SCCM, AD, ServiceNow, ServiceManager, UCMDB, Security Managed Print etc
  • Good knowledge across Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure Cloud Services
  • Experience of integrations with ITSM Tools (ideally ServiceNow)
  • Knowledge and awareness of application performance issues in complex multi-tiered environment

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Web technologies (server side and client side) such as Java Servlets, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, HTTP protocol and the RESTful architectural style
  • Ability to cross-train peers with tool usage and assist in creation of best-practices
  • 50% site based
  • DV/SC although this will be provided for the right candidate
