Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to design, code, and enhance various components across systems or applications. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to ensure that the solutions you deliver are scalable and high-performing, contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in. Your role will require you to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency in your work.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Assist in the documentation of software specifications and design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Broadcom CA Gen, Broadcom CA DevTest Solution.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues.
- Familiarity with database management and data manipulation techniques.

CA Gen tool expectations from learning perspective:
Strong hands-on experience with CA Gen modeling and code generation
- Manage CA Gen model versions, subsets, and libraries
- Create and modify CA Gen models, action blocks, procedures, and dialogs
- Good understanding of end-to-end SDLC
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Work on integrations with:
Databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
Middleware / APIs
Mainframe or distributed systems
Handle data mappings, error handling, and interface validations
- Must have hand-on experience in CA Gen toolset and deployment procedures. Ensure smooth promotion across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD
- Design, develop, and enhance applications using CA Gen (Mainframe is applicable)

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 6-7 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe, willing to get cross-trained in Broadcom CA Gen tool
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
