Across our portfolio of live event venues and corporate offices, we are looking for a Senior Sales Account Specialist, at The Broward Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Mainly performs the daily activities of the sales accounting function at the facility, by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct site tours with clients as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral sales presentations to existing and prospect clients. Identify potential customers within assigned market segments.
  • Create proposals, and leasing contracts for clients within the market segment assigned and follow up accordingly.
  • Oversee INSIGHT Program, including report, maintenance, QR code updates, and monthly event reporting to be sent out to the Executive Team.
  • Maintain up-to-date rental deposits and event payments by monitoring booking system deadlines.
  • Issue invoices for all events and send payment reminders to clients as due dates approach.
  • Send friendly reminders to customers through calls, emails, and other forms of correspondence for outstanding balances.
  • Participate to weekly meeting as scheduled. Support the Sales and Marketing Department with miscellaneous administrative duties.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education and/or Experience          

  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university, or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Customer Service, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Preferred experience in the Hospitality Industry or Convention Center. 

Skills and Abilities  

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Aptitude for adapting and learning required computer software, with a working knowledge of spreadsheets.
  • Capability to interact with individuals at all levels, including management and clients.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, customers, and vendors.
