The Wall Street Journal is looking for a Recruiter to join our team. You will develop recruiting strategies across EMEA and APAC and understand talent movement and demand in these markets. You will also support the full lifecycle of newsroom requisitions, from proactive sourcing to negotiating offers. 

You will be based in London and support international recruitment efforts across the EMEA and APAC regions. 

You Will: 

  • Partner with the Managing Editor's Office in supporting recruitment strategies to attract top talent to the Wall Street Journal newsroom

  • Drive the full-cycle recruiting process, overseeing job postings, reviewing applications, and managing candidate relationships from initial screenings and assessments through final offer negotiation.

  • Be a strategic expert with leaders to establish plans and provide solutions that redefine how we recruit diverse talent

  • Track and manage multiple recruitment projects in a fast-paced news environment

  • Maintain consistent industry awareness and market knowledge in hiring trends, competitive intelligence, and compensation trends and challenges

  • Ensure hiring managers are presented with qualified candidate pools that offer a broad range of experiences and backgrounds

  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with Country guidelines and internal processes

  • Build new and manage existing professional partnerships (i.e., affinity organizations, universities)

  • Report to the office 3 days a week

You have:

  • 5+ years of full cycle recruitment experience in  the media or news industry

  • Experience working in highly collaborative team environments 

  • A positive, high-transparency, and collaborative approach to your work

  • Appreciation for feedback as part of the effort to improve as a recruiter and strategic partner

  • Detailed, organized, and a go-getter

  • Ability to work independently and strengthen partner relationships.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
