This role Marketing Plan & Ops Manager is the Technical Business Analyst for marketing programs and campaigns. This role acts as a bridge between marketing, MarTech, and other business teams to drive the successful implementation of marketing technologies and solutions. The incumbent analyze business needs, define requirements, and translate them into technical specifications for system enhancements or new tools that support marketing campaigns. Their role involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that marketing platforms are aligned with business goals, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring data flows smoothly between systems. They also assess campaign performance, ensuring systems and processes are optimized for data accuracy, reporting, and overall campaign efficiency.

Job Description:

In your day-to-day role you will

  • Technical product subject matter expert for key campaign planning and execution platforms that enable marketing to govern and execute email, onsite and paid media campaigns efficiently.

  • Gather and analyze customer needs and pain points from the marketing operations and marketing domain to drive alignment on an annual solution roadmap and be responsible for a tri-annual planning cycle.

  • Responsible for aligning leading and lagging key performance indicators with marketing operations for the desired solutions and enhancements to facilitate a prioritization process.

  • Uses marketing operations inputs to develop product strategy and evaluation progress. Represents customer passionately in trade-off decisions within marketing domain. Helps simplify internal marketing operations employee experiences by eliminating unnecessary features.

  • Write product requirements document with high level context and detailed business requirements that articulate what is required and why.

  • Document functional requirements with acceptance criteria that can be understood by the business and obtain sign off before hand-off to engineering.

  • Document technical requirements to support the delivery of the functional requirements that can be understood by engineering and obtain their sign-off

  • Review and contribute to test cases to support the functional requirements.

  • Conduct user acceptance testing against acceptance criteria before handing off to the business to test and sign off on new features and capabilities.

  • Create change management and launch plans in partnership with marketing operations and engineering.

  • Follow through on leading KPI’s post implementation to understand if the expected metrics are holding or document learnings for future requirements and prioritization.

  • Proficient at Agile best practices including backlog grooming, sprint planning, user story writing and key agile ceremonies for ongoing optimization.

  • Designs tests to evaluate solutions with data. Adapts analysis to specific situations with global compliance implications.

  • Clear and concise communication.  Presents clearly and keeps presentation on track.   Facilitates well by ensuring engagement from wide range of stakeholders. Good follow through with notes and takeaways.  Ability to persuade peers and partners with quantitative and qualitative arguments.

  • Leverages visual to drive understanding of complex topics and reach decisions across multiple stakeholders.

  • Provides timely feedback to team members and peers. Removes friction and resolves small conflicts without escalation.

  • Inspires the team to drive high quality self-service solutions that delight our customers. Ensures buy-in for product strategy within the cross-functional team.

What do you need to bring

  • Understands systems and technologies related to the marketing domain.

  • Experience with executing marketing activities in marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Paid Media, Adobe Marketing Cloud, etc.

  • 5+ years of product management experience in Digital Marketing execution domain.

  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in marketing operations across SaaS implementations.

  • Process engineering and campaign quality assurance experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in defining KPIs that can be measured and bring clarity of execution to stakeholders during prioritization.

  • Constructively advance opinionated perspective, well-informed by industry and in-depth current state analysis, to all levels of organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
