Job Summary
The Sr. Shopper Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive shopper marketing strategies that drive consumer engagement and sales at the point of purchase. This role involves collaborating with retail partners and leveraging shopper insights to create effective marketing campaigns. The Sr. Manager will ensure that all shopper marketing activities align with the overall business objectives and enhance the shopping experience.Job Details
Key Responsibilities Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a shopper marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for shopper marketing initiatives.
Oversee the creation and execution of shopper marketing campaigns across various channels, including in-store, digital, and mobile.
Customer Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customer partners.
Collaborate with customers to develop joint marketing initiatives, promotions, and in-store activations.
Plan and manage promotional activities, product launches, and sales events to increase shopper traffic and sales.
Coordinate promotional efforts across channels with key customer partners and align internal stake holders on KPI’s and tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product innovation, to align advertising efforts with overall business goals.
Coordinate advertising efforts with product launches and seasonal promotions.
Measurement and Reporting:
Track and measure the effectiveness of shopper marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on key metrics, campaign results, and strategic recommendations.
Develop and manage the budget for shopper marketing initiatives.
Ensure that marketing spend is optimized for maximum ROI and aligns with strategic objectives.
Education and Skill Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA may be preferred).
High level experience with retail media groups and utilizing them to deploy against promotional calendars
8+ years of experience in CPG shopper marketing
Strong understanding of retail advertising strategies and the retail industry.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and advertising platforms.
Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business goals into effective advertising strategies.
Proven experience in shopper marketing, trade marketing, or a related role, with a focus on developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives.
Strong understanding of shopper behavior, retail environments, and point-of-purchase marketing strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and digital analytics platforms.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in shopper marketing
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements
This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard; reach, stoop, kneel to install computer equipment.
Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
Light to moderate lifting may be required
Ability to uphold the stress of traveling (potentially will travel, not regular occurrence/<10%)
Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
