Position Summary...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is keen to tackle complex problems using cutting edge technology. Our autonomous robots take millions of pictures every day and the computer vision solutions will help identify when products are out of stock, where items are located, if prices are correct, and so much more. Our computer vision systems also detect items in shopping cart and improve member exit experiences in Sam’s Club.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to

  • Design, Develop, Test and Deploy Computer Vision applications.
  • Create solutions that can be maintained and scaled easily.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand software requirements and plan out deliverables.
  • Come up with innovative ways on how to improve our member’s shopping experience.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to improve software development processes.



What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in design and development of consumer facing software.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly.
  • Strong hands-on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python development and microservice architecture methodology using mainstream container solutions like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Industrial experience with the cloud platforms and using corresponding resources, such as NoSQL DBs (e.g., Cosmos), messaging brokers, RESTful APIs, serverless Apps.
  • Experience with Designing Computer Vision systems in the cloud and on the EDGE.
  • Exposure to Nvidia frameworks like DeepStream and Triton is a big plus.
