In this role, the clinical virologist candidate will be responsible for the representing virology based tasks on the clinical development team for ViiV assets being developed for the treatment and prevention of HIV. The role will manage virology data such as monitoring viral load data and resistance testing during the conduct of the clinical trial. The role will also author clinical trial related documents to support the development of the program.

  • Clinical virology subject matter expert for development teams
  • Author relevant regulatory documents required for the clinical development process
  • Review, manage and analyze clinical associated clinical trial virology data
  • Author relevant research and clinical study reports
  • Prepare data analysis and communication to development teams and key stakeholders
  • Liaising with drug discovery and other matrix research areas
  • Liaising with our cure & remission and bioinformatic team

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a life science field

  • 3+ years of experience in drug discovery and clinical development; medical affairs and/or post-marketing support is a bonus
  • 1+ years of research experience in Infectious Diseases; experience in HIV treatment, and prevention research with credible external presence a bonus
  • Experience working in a matrix team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Masters Degree or PhD
  • Profound knowledge of HIV virology, including potential therapeutic interventions
  • Good understanding of strategic program planning and execution
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability in execution and deliverables
  • Understanding the clinical trial process from concept study idea to publication and Regulatory submissions
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal relationship building/maintenance
  • Excellent qualification in cross-functional project management and proven team working spirit
