Experience Cloud Performance Engineering is hiring a SMTS who has a passion for leading great teams, as well as improving performance and scalability.

The team provides architectural consulting, workload generation, guardrails testing, as well as training scrum teams on how to do performance and scale testing on their own. The teams builds tools and services to manage infrastructure on 1P and Cloud platforms, as well as performance and scale analysis tools for internal and public consumption. This role will focus on leading a team of highly motivated software engineers focused on developing tools for managing infrastructure, performance and scale analysis and monitoring tools

This candidate must have the technical prowess to write fast and efficient code, find inefficiencies and influence others to make performance improvements. In addition, this engineer needs to measure and demonstrate performance gains in a scientific way, by building/running workloads or simulations. The candidate should be comfortable in discussing time/space complexity using O(n) notation and engage in a project’s design phase for its performance and scalability considerations. You are the performance specialist for your scrum team, and should be responsible for your team’s performance related problems on

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) for Experience Cloud Performance Engineering team you will be responsible for 

* Delivering impactful solutions
* Understanding and practice of agile methodologies to software development
* Gathering and transforming product requirements into an actionable engineering plan
* Influence and collaborate with cross cloud engineering teams/interdisciplinary teams to meet dependencies
* Understanding performance and scale requirements and issues 
* Represent Performance Engineering as a domain expert at customer (internal/external) meetings, industry and corporate events
* Ability to understand, communicate, provide feedback on, and drive complex technical decisions
* Influence architecture and roadmaps by offering solutions for performance and scale challenges.

Required Engineering Skills:

* Experience optimizing performance and scale challenges
* Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript or any other programming language.
* Knowledge of Database, SQL performance, SQL tuning and optimization.
* Experience with cloud native architectures on AWS, GCP or be AWS Cloud certified practitioner
* Ability to identify limitations and offer solutions to challenging engineering problems
* Performance Engineering experience with a distinguished track record on technically demanding project
* Experience with performance testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise software. Able to research and propose optimizations, and write POC code where required.
* Distributed systems debugging
* Able to work with Dev, QE and Product Management teams to understand requirements.
* Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills
* Ability to analyze / interpret technical data
* Ability to identify / resolve system bottlenecks
* Ability to identify potential limitations in software architectures
* Ability to write clear and concise technical documents
* Excellent troubleshooting and reasoning skills
* 5+ years working experience on Cloud based solutions
* BS, MS in Computer Science or equivalent
