The Marketing Specialist, Specialty Pharmacy Services is responsible for ensuring flawless execution of the overall orals/self-administered products value narrative and marketing strategy. Your activities are organized around executing strategic marketing initiatives to position McKesson as the premiere provider of orals and self-administered products, support and services to independent specialty providers, biopharma manufacturers, patients, and payers. You serve as a trusted marketing advisor to McKesson Specialty Provider and Biologics by McKesson teams, helping them drive profitable growth and retention by effectively telling the story of our purpose, our approach, what we do and the value we deliver with our orals/self-administered product offerings.

You get in the trenches to develop campaigns and execute on the content that deepens engagement with key audiences. You collaborate with your team to launch marketing activities that demonstrate the value McKesson delivers to customers in the orals/self-administered product space. This position reports to the Director, Specialty Pharmacy Services Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Create Content & Promotions to Showcase our Value Proposition

  • Develop and execute promotional campaigns, sales/education materials, collateral, PR, social media, event positioning/strategy and other materials needed to drive demand and retention while delivering a flawless customer experience. Efforts include project management (e.g. facilitation of marketing, legal/compliance review of content, quality assurance), collaboration with business stakeholders and campaign results reporting.
  • Drive strategic growth by aligning our capabilities with patient, customer and market needs through solutions positioning, value demonstration, case studies and  “proof points,” driving awareness of our comprehensive value proposition.
  • Collaborate with the business and customer-facing teams to identify and execute on campaigns and thought leadership that communicates our leading position in the space and helps win new orals business and retain existing business.
  • Maintain, update and execute marketing plans to drive market penetration/growth and increase long-term value to existing customers across all customer segments including patients, providers, payers and biopharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Manage inventory of segment promotional material to keep it fresh and relevant.
  • Work with Quality to support Biologics’ URAC re-accreditation.
  • Measure results, including marketing’s contribution to the top line of the business.

Builds Strong Alignment with Strategic Marketing and Business Stakeholders to Enhance Marketing Deliverables

  • Become an integrated member of relevant marketing, communications and business (sales, operations, clinical) teams across McKesson Specialty Provider and Biologics by McKesson– including participating in routine calls and meeting 1:1s – to understand customer needs and changing trends.  
  • Collaborate with the Provider Marketing team to better tell our story to the many stakeholders and customers across McKesson.
  • Develop new marketing initiatives utilizing best practices.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent degree

Critical Skills

  • Typically has 4+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced marketing role
  • 2+ years’ of healthcare experience
  • B2B marketing experience
  • Excellent communicator who succinctly and effectively gets your point across - a good speaker, a crisp writer, and a PowerPoint wizard
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, solid organizational skills and proactive project management
  • People-savvy collaborator with the confidence to manage stakeholders and the polish to routinely interact and influence an executive-level audience

Salary: 72,200.00 - 96,300.00 - 120,400.00 USD Annual

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$72,200 - $120,400
