Your Future Job

The Sourcing Manager drives strategic sourcing to enhance operations and supply chain capabilities by identifying, evaluating and implementing new suppliers. This role will be responsible for negotiating agreements for key commodities, managing supplier qualifications and supporting purchasing activities for indirect materials. The Sourcing Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Operations, FSQA, Marketing and Research & Development (R&D). 

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers, including evaluate and recommend vendors based on cost, quality, and capabilities, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives in collaboration with R&D, FSQA, Marketing and Operations, to identify and source new ingredients and packaging.
  • Monitor market trends and commodities to identify the best sourcing options and alternative suppliers, supporting cost improvement projects and leveraging buying power.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for vendor and material approval processes and maintain detailed sourcing records by vendor.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and Marketing team to provide procurement expertise and support new product launches and innovation and renovation projects.
  • Manage project transitions from product development to commercialization for all Procurement functions.
  • Oversee procurement activities for indirect materials, including issuing purchase orders and managing purchase requests for the Plant and Co-Packers.
  • Assist in sourcing for Co-packers to partner for launching our new products.
  • Attend trade shows as needed to keep up with market trends, establishing new connections with new vendors to increase capabilities Daiya’s vendors portfolio.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related fields and five (5) years of related experience in Sourcing or Procurement or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

Daiya’s compensation offerings are based on a pay-for-performance philosophy. The pay range for this position is from $85,000 – 100,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Permanent team members may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
