Job Description

The Software Design Quality Engineer role will be part of the Bose Global Software Organization supporting the Automotive Systems Division. Our team works with automobile manufacturers across the globe to deliver outstanding audio-based experiences by applying thoughtfully coordinated and meticulously engineered loudspeakers, amplifiers, and signal processing. 

You will immediately be making an impact by directly supporting the team’s high profile automotive project by streamlining software automation improvements. The team will be developing cutting edge amplifiers for their new and upcoming infotainment package.

You will be partnering with Software Development Teams, Engineer Program Managers, Product Development Managers and even the customer! At Bose, we recognize test development as an engineering field with unique technical challenges distinct from product development!

About the Job

  • Collaborating with global teams on validation management
  • Designing/installing sophisticated testing equipment while generating reports
  • Partnering with software developers to debug customer issues
  • Designing test infrastructure for automation test suites
  • Participating in requirements/design reviews within the development process
  • Supporting root cause determination on defects through structured analysis

About You

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge with developing automated test scripts
  • Working knowledge of Digital Signal Processing
  • Experience with Automotive networks, such as CAN, A2B, RS-485 and AVB
  • Experience with Audio-based infotainment packages
  • BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or relevant field
  • Soft Skills: Familiarity with Lean process, Project Management skills, strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with analyzing signals on an Oscilloscope (preferred)
  • Configuring Function Generators
  • Knowledge of C/C++, Python and MATLAB
