Position Overview:

The Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for defining organic social media strategy and content marketing execution while improving brand awareness and fostering consumer engagement and loyalty. This role will be supporting Brunswick's Lund and Crestliner fishing brands.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, have attention to detail, and awareness of brand voice and customer empathy. A mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple boat brands and alongside internal creative and digital teams will be key.  A willingness to leverage existing processes while implementing new best practices is necessary. The ideal candidate would also have a passion for the outdoors, specifically an interest in angling or freshwater fishing.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with brand marketing and shared teams to create and manage a content calendar inclusive of organic social media posts, blog content and influencer integrations
  • Manage organic social platforms across 2 high visibility, global brands including major channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Ownership of social media playbook, including an annual audit of channel performance, brand strategy inclusive of goals, KPIs, and best practices
  • Work with brand marketing to curate content and drive awareness of owner’s channels and mobile applications as well as forum management
  • Explore new channel opportunities with test and learn strategies to ensure brands are staying relevant on social media
  • Work alongside brand and digital marketing to choose monthly blog topics, ensuring content is timely, engaging, and aligned to brand goals, overseeing the process from concept through execution
  • Lead content opportunities by identifying cross-brand synergies and communicating with industry partners
  • Strategize cross-functionally with digital marketing and creative services on planning, execution, and performance of key product launches and campaigns
  • Analyze social data to support strategic and execution recommendations & provide quarterly reporting, detailing engagement rate, reach, followers, likes, comments, etc.
  • Report on KPIs and goals during post-campaign and product launch timeframes
  • Provide input on shot lists and capture live content at brand and consumer activations such as photoshoots, boat shows, dealer and consumer-facing events
  • Organize and produce content with special guests, influencers, and industry partners
  • Executes against brand influencer strategy, identifying and working with key influencers to drive growth
  • Other duties as assigned

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related course of study
  • 5-6 years of relevant professional experience including social media management and developing and executing a social media strategy
  • Intermediate level of experience creating engaging content for social media including Reels, Stories, YouTube shorts
  • Intermediate level of experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Gain
  • Intermediate level of experience with influencer management as well as management tools such as Klear
  • Intermediate skill level with a design tool such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Proven track record of organizational skills and management across multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success translating visual brand identity to social media
  • Passion for learning and remaining current on all forms of social media including emerging channels such as TikTok
  • Excellent copywriting skills and ability to develop on-brand copy with strong attention to detail
  • Have a passion and desire to engage on social media in real-time, including nights & weekends
  • Open to 25% domestic travel in support of brand and consumer activations such as photoshoots, dealer events and boat shows with additional international travel as required for global brands
  • A passion for content creation that resonates and is personalized to target audiences
  • Ability to support community management across dedicated brands
  • Intermediate level of experience with MS Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • SEO experience desired, but not required
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment within a matrix organization
