Position Summary...

About Team:

The Stores Systems team owns a diverse portfolio of systems used by Walmart stores associates
for business- critical functions such as efficient Store Logistics and Inventory Management/Audits to
provide constantly high levels of on-shelf availability, processing of in-transit inbound merchandise,
efficient freight handling and storage, processing for outbound freight (returns, disposal,
donations), modular planning of the sales floor and in-store location tracking of merchandise, price
changes/markdowns as well as tools and applications to effectively and efficiently manage critical
tasks and communications within individual stores across the chain

What You’ll Do:

  • Constant focus on velocity, continuous improvement, engineering, and operational excellence 
  • Interact with other Walmart engineering teams across geographies to drive shift left of quality and contribute to the quality best practices. 
  • Cross-collaborate with the inter-disciplinary program, product and engineering teams to understand the requirements, derive test scenarios and test cases, build automation framework, automate test cases and sign off releases 
  • The candidate is expected to contribute in a hands-on fashion on the project as well as take ownership of various QA deliverables.
  • You will design automation framework, build or adapt open source tools for better day-to-day testing and manage releases making the systems more robust.
  • Develop and maintain testing framework for backend applications.
  • Develop continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines for different applications/environments for faster and high quality releases in agile methodology
  • Develop and implement scripts for automated testing, ensure test suites are stable and enable continues deployments
  • Perform integrated testing with multiple complex systems and support releases
  • Review, manage automation code and repository
  • Design and develop actionable reports and dashboards for continuous improvements
  • Design and apply quality assurance practices, processes and standards
  • Building dashboards/monitors as part Operational Excellence
  • Prior experience in Performance Testing

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 4-6 years of hands on experience working in Quality Engineering, Automation Tools, API and Mobile app automation
  • Experience working with test automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber BDD framework, REST Assured API, TestNG, Appium
  • Experience in basics of Data Structures and coding in Java
  • Experience in developing and managing core features in automation framework for API / UI/Apps, using Java, Appium, Selenium & TestNG
  • Experience with defect management tools like Jira, Confluence etc.
  • Troubleshoot critical defects in software coding
  • Work closely with the Developers and Engineers to achieve a high level of code coverage
  • Experience with source code repositories (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven)
  • Demonstrated database experience with SQL/NoSQL
  • Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Mandatory Skills: Manual Testing, Test Automation, Java, Appium,TestNG, RestAssured, JS, Selenium
