This position is a coverage role purposed to (i) broaden and deepen the Corporate banking business with a focus in dealing with Singapore based-headquarter Companies and cultivate and drive sustainable revenue growth across the regions as Global account managers (ii) deliver innovative financing solutions to clients by working with the relevant internal stakeholders and product officers (iii) Lead comprehensive credit and marketing on existing portfolio (iv) ensure risks and compliance are managed (v) align with overall Global Corporate Banking Singapore business strategy and mid-term plan to deliver results. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience and a strong working knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets, global markets and syndicated loan market. This position reports into Head of Local Corporate, Singapore.
Job Responsibilities:
To contribute to the overall Local Corporate relationship strategy and business plans by delivering solutions to develop businesses in financing, debt capital markets, hedging, cash management, trade and treasury
Collaborate with the team to provide comprehensive coverage of clients and work closely with internal stakeholders & leverage on the bank’s network
To drive incremental revenue from existing / new clients, new products and new initiatives and maximize cross-sell to achieve country revenue targets
Formulate robust account plan and exposure strategies that balance risk and opportunity, while seeking aspirational cross-sell opportunities.
Develop and deliver high-impact client proposals, credit memoranda, and financial models to support strategic decision-making and deal structuring. Critically review and sensitise borrower forecasts and underlying asset security valuations; negotiate adequate covenants and other protections from key commercial and legal terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Take risk ownership as Global Relationship Manager and oversee portfolio performance through rigorous monitoring framework, ensuring asset quality and early identification of emerging risk & early warning signals
Engage in regular, high-quality client discussions covering both risks and business opportunities and manage challenging client conservations during periods of credit deterioration.
Stay updated on market trends and industry developments and develop a deep understanding of client’s business model, industry sectors , competitive positioning, risk and mitigants
Support Head of Business in preparation of pitch materials, client strategy, research and analysis, internal approvals, and reporting requirements
Responsible for deal execution to ensure smooth documentation process, processing of transactions and delivery of services
Introduce clients to MUFG affiliates and partner banks; explore new opportunities and leverage our global strength as One MUFG
Ensure adherence to all Regional/ Country Risk and Compliance requirements and the prevailing Regulations
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate/ Investment bank. Focus on real estate, TMT and infrastructure is an advantage
Strong relationship and reach to senior management in corporates
Strong credit knowledge is a must. Prior experiences in managing credit concerned clients would be an advantage.
Marketing corporate finance experience will be an advantage.
Experience in financing, capital markets, global markets
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
