About the Role:

The FP&A group is currently seeking a Finance Analyst to support the business focusing on financial planning and consolidation. You will help develop, communicate and monitor departmental budgets. This dynamic and fast-paced role will provide strategic business partner support and financial support with a focus on reporting and forecasting and support for strategic projects. You will report to the Manager of Finance and be based in our New York City office with occasional travel to our Princeton office.

You Will:

  • Work closely with business partners to review and prepare budgets and forecasts.

  • Update and run forecast models and scenario planning.

  • Develop business case models, charts, and reporting dashboards to provide analysis and insights to evaluate the financial impact of decisions for senior management.

  • Handle month-end closing activities, including, journal entry preparation, account analysis, and reclasses.

  • Leverage key systems knowledge (SAP, BPC) to facilitate the creation of more robust analytics and reporting tools, which ultimately drive valuable insights as well as more efficient planning & reporting processes.

  • Build and maintain strong business partner relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, improve work efficiency and quality.

  • Handle additional ad-hoc requests as deemed necessary by the business or financial needs.

You Have:

  • Strong accounting and analytical skills; Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (preferred).

  • High degree of proficiency in PC skills including experience with financial applications and reporting tools, specifically Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions) and Google Docs.

  • Planning, project management, and organizational skills including effective time management and attention to detail.

  • Initiative and drive and work well under pressure including being a team player with a strong work ethic.

  • Experience maintaining accounting records and preparation of financial reports

  • Ability to recognize problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions and define/suggest resolutions.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of business partners.

  • Knowledge of or experience with SAP, TM1, or related programs (a plus).

  • 0-3 years of experience. 

  • Demonstrated experience navigating a complex and challenging business environment.

  • Analytical expertise, able to synthesize data and provide insightful narratives.

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively balance multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience in ERP systems (TM1, Alteryx), (a plus).

Pay Range: $55,000 - $70,000
