Embedded Debug Tooling Engineer

Analog Devices provides comprehensive tooling that works in harmony with our processor portfolio and enables customers to rapidly develop embedded applications and offer a smooth path to production. As SoCs become more complex, involving heterogeneous multi-core and extensive peripheral sets, innovative tools are need to ensure maximum productivity and an intuitive design flow. You will help to define and develop these tools, with a particular responsibility for defining the data from which the tools run.

Key roles
 

  • Helping to design and implement the data schemas required for tools operation
  • Understanding and abstracting information from data sheets, specs and other technical documents
  • Scripting (python) to generate data model files
  • Helping to design methodologies for consistency and correctness checking
  • Automation through CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Leadership of contractors or junior engineers

Key skills

  • Python scripting
  • Knowledge of embedded programming in C
  • Understanding technical documents such as processor data sheets
  • Mentorship / leadership of small teams
  • Knowledge of CI/CD

Differentiating skills

  • TypeScript, node.js
  • Knowledge of Zephyr
