appliedx is a functional Learning and Development team that supports the Engineering organization at Applied Materials. We create learning experiences that increase and sharpen engineers' knowledge and skills. As a Learning Experience Program Manager, you will lead the design and implementation of innovative learning solutions. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as department managers and executives, to understand their training needs, gain buy-in, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.  

  • Work closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs) from various business units to understand their domain in order to design effective training solutions  

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge, skills, and competencies within the organization, and use this information to develop targeted learning solutions. 

  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers to develop new courses and learning offerings 

  • Oversee the entire training program life cycle (for the programs you own), including planning, scheduling, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the successful execution of learning initiatives. 

  • Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs, collecting feedback from participants, and using data to make data-driven decisions for program improvement. 

  • Lead the design and implementation of skill journeys to promote employee learning and growth 

  • Be an expert in the learning catalog mapping and identify gaps using insights from learning analytics  

  • Support new learning initiatives 

  • Other responsibilities as assigned  

 

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution 

  • Excellent project management and critical thinking skills 

  • Experience in learning design  

  • Desire and ability to learn technical information  

  • The ability to take initiative in gathering input and feedback from experts throughout the company to inform learning experience design 

  • The ability to communicate clearly (written and oral) and synthesize information from others to determine actionable takeaways 

  • The ability to analyze data and drive decision making based on learning analytics  

  • Demonstrated ownership and consistent delivery on commitments; exceptional organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail. 

  • A desire for feedback and continued learning 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • A master’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field 

  • Education or experience in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology-related fields 

  • Experience working in the semiconductor industry 

  • Experience working for a global manufacturing company 

  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams in a global environment

U.S. Salary Range:

$140,000.00 - $192,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
