The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Business Unit (BU) team, reporting directly to the Associate Directors, Directors, and Partners. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the financial services industry, with a deep understanding of the sector's challenges and trends. You will play a pivotal role in delivering projects focused on operational excellence, transition management, and remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Operational Excellence:

  • Actively contribute to shaping and implementing the strategic direction of the Business Unit.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to define and refine products and services.
  • Streamline financial statement close processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and robustness.
  • Leverage new BI tools and key performance indicators (KPIs) to introduce or improve management information systems.

Technical Expertise:

This role requires strong technical capabilities, particularly in financial reporting across various financial services sectors.

  • Extensive experience in preparing financial statements in asset management, insurance, and/or banking.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of fund structures, such as mutual funds, UCITs, ICAVs, private equity, REITs, and SPVs.
  • Experience with automated financial reporting tools for asset management is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.

Engagement Delivery:

As a key contributor to the delivery of multiple engagements, you will:

  • Maintain and grow key client relationships.
  • Support on-shoring and off-shoring of financial reporting and related finance processes.
  • Design and execute project plans with precision and attention to detail.
  • Diagnose and resolve critical business or P&L issues through process stabilization and redesign.
  • Ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of projects.
  • Lead and mentor project teams on-site.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and a passion for delivering outstanding client service.

Experience, Skills & Attributes:

  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services/asset management industry, gained either directly or in practice.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in accounting or related fields.
  • 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in auditing or financial statement preparation.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with a proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and Excel skills.
  • Confident, mature, and personable, with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual who works well both independently and in teams.
  • Passionate, enthusiastic, and eager to take on new challenges.
