About us:

Market Operations is a team of 400 Operations Professionals who support our Financial Markets, CommSec, Trade Finance & Treasury businesses globally. Functions performed are trade confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and client data capture/maintenance, corporate actions across FX, Fixed Income, Rates, Commodities, Derivatives and Equities.

We also provide Middle Office services including Collateral Management, Regulatory Reporting, Client Reference Data maintenance, Client Onboarding, Account Origination, Client Case Management, Estate Management, International Loan Administration, Trade Support and Confirmation services.

Picture yourself in the team:

The team looks after Commodities products, primarily Base and Precious metals. The team manages several functions including and not limited to metal financing, physical movement of metal, warehouse inspections, vessel screening, Shipper's Letter of Instruction, Warrants, deal validation and daily stock / deal reconciliations.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate with strong sanction screening knowledge to join our team.

Do work that matters:

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Key source for internal/external stakeholders regarding physical inventory, settlements, warehouse stocks, transit stock, releases to clients etc;
  • Handling documentation relating to change of title / storage / warehousing agreements;
  • Conducting vessel screening for transit requirements and ongoing monitoring of inventory for trading activity / insurance limits;
  • Performing LME / CME deliveries, warranting and cancellations. Detailed understanding of LME/CME specifications for metal delivery including reviewing producer, shipper, and warehousing documentation Vs contracts where appropriate;
  • Scheduling and reviewing warehouse inspections / audits and resolution of issues;
  • Daily and Monthly reconciliations, reporting and submissions.

We are interested in hearing from you if you have:

  • 5 Years + experience (mainly Base with Precious experience highly preferred - settlements & logistics) ideally from a trading house;
  • Previous experience on timely receipt and delivery against purchase and sale deals with correct documentation (including shipments, customs clearing, exchange of metal, insurance);
  • Experience in monitoring in transit stock and managing the documents and further arrangements with all stakeholders;
  • 3RD Party inspections;
  • Experience in stock reconciliations (EOM & DAILY) and insurance declarations;
  • LME, CME Warranting, cancellations, rent endorsements;
  • IHS Markit & World Check Sanctions Screening;
  • Ebts & Murex experience desirable;
  • Tertiary qualifications in a finance discipline desirable.
