Within TD Technology, the TBSM Technology Team (TTT) is dedicated to support the Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department in measuring and managing market risk (interest rate, equity and foreign exchange) for the Bank's retail portfolios, both in Canada and the US. TTT creates models, financial systems, applications and processes required to support various functional teams in TBSM.

About This Role
TBSM Technology Team (TTT) is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join the Retail Liquidity development team. We are looking for someone to plan, manage, and lead the delivery of detailed system requirements, technical and functional specifications that align to standards and frameworks. You will provide technical leadership and work in close partnership with ambitious business and technology partners, project teams and stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage detailed functional specifications and test plans.
As part of this role, you'll also provide expert advice, research, analysis and design of test plans, related strategies and test processes that are appropriate to the application, solution, project and/or business unit and develop test strategies for highly complex and multi-faceted projects.
Sitting in this position will help expand your knowledge, strengthen your expertise and introduce you to the inner workings of our Treasury alongside a team of seasoned, diversely-skilled technology and finance professionals. Our team is made up of dynamic and strong technical leads, developers, and BSA's who build and maintain critical technology platforms in an Agile environment. You'll be exposed to stretch assignments as you take on large-scale, complex and/or enterprise-wide projects.

Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:
Transform business requirements and research into winning delivery solutions that meet performance goals.
Participate in complex applications and systems development.
Propose solution options; generate stakeholder support.
Collaborate with stakeholders on project estimates.
Produce top-notch functional, technical and user interface designs.
Take business, Enterprise Architecture, system performance and development standards requirements, then develop functional, technical, user interface designs and test plans for an application and/or system.
Coordinate testing and release planning and support with partners (e.g. business, Infrastructure).
Coordinate code deployments, maintenance upgrades and project testing across numerous environments on various technology platforms.
Contribute to project management activities such as: scoping and estimating project efforts, identifying risks and recommending mitigation measures,
Review technical deliverables for quality throughout detailed design and development phase, identify gaps or redesign as needed.
Define metrics and performance goals with technology partners and peers.
Respect TD's technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines, business technology architecture, and risk and production capacity – this includes thorough project requirements, documentation, scope estimates and costs.
Identify ways to minimize cost, play a role in introducing strategic solutions to support cost effectiveness and enhance stakeholder experience.
Identify and address any issue that affects the integrity of the application ( e.g. cross-capability/release issues).
Provide technical support to promptly resolve escalated incidents/outages.
Coach colleagues and act as a reference for the software development life cycle.

Develop a good understanding of Market Risk management processes in the Banking business.

Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
5-7 years relevant experience.
Solid hands-on SQL programming experience on SQL Server 2012 or above.
Commitment to applying advanced to expert knowledge of business technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise, including design, development, testing and project management.
Advanced to expert knowledge of system analysis process and techniques, as well as system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows and business rules.
Proficiency in developing test strategies for highly complex and multi-faceted projects
Ability to advise on testable software builds, test data / environment / configuration / defect management, test asset control.
Talent in identifying risks both within and across projects and recommending ways to mitigate them.
Strength at managing and directing activities related to analysis, design, testing, deployment and support of technical business solutions on larger projects.
Expert knowledge of QA methodology, best practices and processes.
Sound knowledge of external industry trends in relation to competency.
Experience and comfort level acting as a subject matter expert and consultant.
Strength in coaching and advising clients, partners and project teams.
Commitment to and belief in the quality of your deliverables.

Strong verbal, written, presentation & communication skills.
Proactive, organized, excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Works well independently, as well as within a team.
Financial and/or capital markets experience is a strong asset.
