Job Description:

This role involves leading the development and deployment of financial modeling and data analyses at Intermountain Health. As a Data Analyst-Technical-Consultant, you will spearhead strategic initiatives, financial modeling standards, and operational goals through data insights. Reporting to senior leaders in Finance, you will collaborate with business and clinical leaders across Intermountain Health to effectively forecast financial performance under alternative payment models and to optimize outcomes in an integrated system. The team ensures financial modeling is supported with the use of accurate, thorough data and statistical analyses.

This role will work Monday-Friday, during regular business hours.
Although the majority of this role can work remotely,

the qualified candidate must be prepared to travel periodically to locations in which Intermountain operates.

• Independently provides project updates and communicates analytic findings to their customers.
• Leads and mentors others in analytic work demonstrations and hands-on training for customers to promote understanding and independent consumption of analytic work.
• Continuously enhances their technical skillset through individual learning and participation in Intermountain analytic community educational offerings, guided by their leader.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts

Minimum Qualifications 

• Mastery of advanced SQL techniques and database optimization strategies.
• Proficiency in advanced data visualization techniques using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency in office applications, including creating templates and macros.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare data analytics and industry trends.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving collaborative projects.
• Demonstrated ability to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
• Proven experience in providing mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.
• Expert understanding of Product Management, Project Management, or Program Management philosophies and methodologies, and capable of applying them to data analytic projects to ensure alignment with business goals and efficient execution.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Candidates with Insurance claims experience, financial modeling, and statistical analyses experience are strongly preferred.

•  Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
