Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring a Supply Chain/Vendor Assist Manager (Level K) to support the Manufacturing Supply Chain Support Team in North Charleston, South Carolina with a Domestic Temporary Assignment (DTA) in San Antonio, Texas.

The successful candidate will manage a great group of Supplier Management Field Reps in San Antonio, Texas; managing suppliers to perform their work on our Storage Airplanes due to late seats or return to EVT for delivery from JVT and long term storage.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements

  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of Supplier Management experience

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time

  • 3+ years of experience collaborating across functions and organizations

  • 3+ years of experience establishing relationships and strong on-going communication with customers, suppliers and/or vendors

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with Project Management

  • 1+ years of experience managing teams in multiple locations

Relocation:

This position is a domestic temporary assignment located in San Antonio, Texas. Candidates will be provided a DTA (Domestic Temporary Assignment) benefits package as applicable.

Summary pay range: $110,500 - $149,500
