Healthcare is usually slow and boring. We believe in its potential to be exciting and entertaining. But changing the healthcare experience is hard – and we’re gonna need all the help we can get…!

About Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is an Australian founded digital healthcare company that is on a mission to solve the world’s biggest healthcare challenges - think fertility, and behavioural change around chronic conditions such as weight loss, diabetes, and mental health.

What we have achieved so far

🚀 Launched 5 demographically tailored brands and facilitated over 1 million medical consultations worldwide (Juniper, Pilot, Kin, Software, & Compound).

🌍 Built a team of approaching 500 Eucalypts in 6 countries (🇦🇺🇬🇧🇩🇪🇯🇵🇵🇭🇿🇦) consisting of medical practitioners, engineers, operators and many more functions!

💰 Raised over US$100M funding from the same investors who backed Canva, Uber, and AirBnB.

🇬🇧 In just over 2 years we have grown the Juniper UK brand, which is now our biggest brand globally!

… and we’re just getting started! Read more about our mission to change healthcare here.

What’s Next?

In the UK we are continuing to grow with ambitions to triple our business by the end of the year!

To achieve this, we are continuously building our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about healthcare, willing to work hard, and committed to investing in others through direct and honest feedback. This collaborative and proactive approach enables us to make impactful changes, improving the health of millions of patients globally.

About the role (What you’ll be doing)

In the UK we run Eucalyptus’ biggest brand, Juniper, and we’ve supported tens of thousands of women in the UK with their weight. So far we’ve combined medication with a tailored nutrition and exercise programme, all with the support of multiple health care professionals (health coaches, dietitians and pharmacists).

Our mission in Juniper is to help women feel like themselves, all year round. We’re doing it by re-designing how we talk about and manage the most prominent aspects of women’s health with a patient first (not doctor or system first) approach. We know there are so many more ways we can support our Juniper members, we want you to help us define how we do this. You’ll start with a deep dive into menopause, given many of our members are menopausal, yet most are not aware of the effective treatment options available.

This role reports directly into the Senior Leadership Team with your key stakeholders being

  • Rebecca Holdt, Regional GM, Europe (based in London, UK),
  • Nicole Liu, Head of Services (based in Sydney, AU), and
  • Benny Kleist, Chief Strategy Officer (based in Sydney, AU)

In this role, you will…

Get to know our patients and the current experience really well

  • Delve into the current patient experience, talk to our patients, be in our member community
  • Be responsible for collating the insights across our patient facing teams and managing our system of continuous improvement. Setup a framework to prioritise these improvements.

Business case and recommend a course of action

  • Deeply understand the problems you are solving. Go deep into the science, effectively leverage our medical experts and understand the space better than anyone else
  • Develop a comprehensive business case. Effectively balance commercials with patient empathy
  • Define and manage the launch P&L (costs and expected returns)

Execute the plan and be responsible for the results

  • Define a localised patient experience that addresses the unique needs of the UK market
  • Set metrics for success and develop strategies to achieve them
  • Manage a cross-function team to deliver new experiences. This includes team mates in Australia (product and engineering) and London (marketing and patient facing teams)
  • Get stuck in - write emails, find partners, hand write the notes that our first patients will receive. Drive speed and quality across the team
  • Set up rituals for reporting & accountability, drive stakeholder updates

About you (Who are we looking for)

The individuals who have previously held similar roles (ie launched new brands or markets) have since stepped up to lead global functions and markets. These people are self-motivated, analytical and executional powerhouses, and thrive under pressure to meet ambitious timelines. In turn, we like to entrust ambiguous problems, a huge amount of autonomy and the opportunity to rapidly develop their skills and career. For the right person, this role will be incredibly hard work, and equally lots of fun, rewarding, and ultimately a career accelerator. As our UK business grows ~4x this year, there will be an increasing number of opportunities for the right people to add to the Senior Leadership Team with this role as an intended launchpad.
