About the Team:

As part of the global Marketing organization, the B2B Enterprise Marketing team is responsible for driving business growth in partnership with the product and sales teams of our four enterprise businesses: Dow Jones Newswires, Factiva, Risk & Compliance and OPIS. The team runs a client centric approach focused on industries and accounts developing and activating strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, build our reputation and deepen relationships in these select industries and accounts.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll be responsible for marketing to the Banking/Financial services sector and driving, in partnership with sales and product, revenue growth in the segment and key accounts within. To achieve this you will develop and execute an annual plan to drive awareness, position Dow Jones as the trusted partner of choice for enterprise business insights, build a reputation for our capabilities and expertise, and deepen relationships with key clients. We are shifting to this new industry and account focused model and you will be part of this exciting transformation. We are looking for a strategic marketer, with experience in industry marketing and account based marketing; who has successfully partnered with sales to drive business growth.

This role is based in-person in New York, NY, working on-site in our midtown Manhattan office three days a week, reporting to the Senior Director Marketing for Financial Services

You Will:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Banking/Financial Services industries and accounts, market trends, customer needs and competition. Continuously assess them to identify new business opportunities and optimize strategy.
  • Based on those insights and business priorities, develop an annual strategy and plan to build awareness and a reputation for Dow Jones' capabilities and expertise; and deepen relationships with key decision makers in select accounts. Working together with sales, this strategy will drive revenue growth in those industries and accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Sales teams to develop messaging and content that resonates with our target audience and effectively builds a strong reputation for Dow Jones' capabilities and expertise.
  • Work with sales to gain customer advocacy, building client trust and loyalty to develop long term strategic partnerships. Translates this into compelling stories promoted through industry programs and experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships team to develop co-marketing strategies with select partners that further enhance our reach and growth in banking and accounts.
  • Collaborate with Geography Marketing Leaders to co-create the global plan and strategy for Banking, gain local insights and monitor plan effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team and the Event Marketing team to orchestrate the strategy that drives awareness and engagement across the select set of accounts within the Banking Industry
  • Continuously monitor and report on progress on key KPIs, particularly account revenue growth, cross-sell and white space expansion.
  • Partner with the Sales Enablement team to engage sellers around Banking / Financial Services and account initiatives, develop their skills and equip them to have effective customer meetings.

You Have:

  • A minimum of 12 years of B2B Marketing experience, ideally in Field Marketing, Industry Marketing and/or Account Based Marketing targeting Fortune 1000 customers in Banking / Financial Services companies. ( Banking, Securities, Insurance, Fintechs, Payments) being responsible for the strategy and success in that sector.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing measurable B2B industry marketing strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • At least 5 years of recent and proven experience driving consensus around client centric strategies, and exerting collaborative influence across multiple business stakeholders that work in silos, to achieve business goals.
  • Account Based Marketing experience driving awareness, building a reputation, deepening relationships and partnering with sales to drive revenue growth in select accounts is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in a high revenue generating area of a company, marketing to the highest revenue and highest potential accounts to drive further growth and expansion.
  • Experience in effectively managing marketing budget and time, and ensuring maximum return on investment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Adept at data-driven decision making and business management.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity and solve problems in a resourceful way.

Pay Range: $155,000 - $195,000
