Job Description:

The General Manager, Unbranded Marketing is responsible for the creation and execution of the unbranded marketing strategy within their designated region to achieve long-term success by growing market share with existing and new customers. This individual will drive new and existing sales while being evaluated against a positive P&L. This individual will also expand into new markets and secure high value customer retention and relationships. Availability beyond typical business hours and up to 40% travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and develops the marketing strategy for their region, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Formulates and executes on promotion strategy to promote products or services, partnering with advertising or promotion managers.
  • Oversees and manages the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Ensures compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements related to the sale and distribution of fuel products.
  • Serves as Marketing Account Manager for North East region, building upon Gulf and Metroplex footprint across the North East and New England territories.
  • Develops and oversees pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Compiles lists describing product or service offerings.
  • Uses sales forecasting or strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
  • Negotiates contracts with vendors for Back to Back Contracts.
  • Coordinates or participates in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services.
  • Develops and sells profitable accounts and execute contracts.
  • Prospects new accounts and Markets.
  • Utilizes IT systems to manage account base.
  • Sells and manages Term, Day, Fixed, Bulk, Terminal and Rack contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous knowledge of the Unbranded Petroleum Business and Petroleum Indexes
  • Ability to manage basis as it relates to Petroleum
  • Holds a book of business in the New England region
  • Excellent Selling skills
  • Exceptional personal communicator with extensive experience in trading, supply, and logistics as it relates to our customers needs and business
