JOB SUMMARY

ONEOK is looking for a Regulatory Analyst I to join the Regulatory Tariffs and Certificates team. Experience should include research and written documentation of topics associated with regulatory oversight by state and/or federal agencies, interpreting and editing contractual terms, and midstream energy commercial and/or operations activities. Additionally, responsibilities would include ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations with a significant focus on Oklahoma Corporation Commission and Railroad Commission of Texas filings. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential for collaborating with internal stake holders and regulatory agencies. This position is hybrid to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.

Job Profile Summary

Prepares timely regulatory filings including: tariff change filings, rate change filings, certificate filings, compliance, and other filings and reports required by Federal and State regulatory agencies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely filings of all necessary regulatory reports, applications, and tariff filings including the preparation of the transmittal letter, the response or request to the applicable agency, and all related supporting documentation applicable to the filing

  • Work with the appropriate departments to develop or prepare the necessary exhibits to support the filings

  • Prepare filings in accordance with the applicable regulatory agencies' filing requirements regarding the applicable filings

  • Gather information and assist in drafting responses to discovery or data requests

  • Gather information needed for Federal and State regulatory audits and inspections

  • Read and interpret agency orders and dockets. Provide recommendations for management relating to the orders. Research other interstate or intrastate regulatory filings as directed; develop recommendations on appropriate course of action for Natural Gas Segment. Communicate with and/or inform, educate, or advise company personnel and customers relative to regulatory issues, questions and requests for information

  • Communicate with regulatory agency representatives with respect to specific filing questions as appropriate

  • Research, analyze, compile, and/or prepare information including but not limited to:

    • Tariff filings

    • Certificate filings

    • Regulatory reports

    • Supporting documents

    • Coordinate responses to data requests

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Juris Doctorate or specific job related experience

Work Experience

  • Experience reading and interpreting internal and external correspondence, governmental regulations, reports, orders, commission reports, financial reports, contracts, and legal documents

  • Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software

  • Experience analyzing, researching, and preparing applications, supporting documentation, reports, exhibits, testimony, data requests and/or correspondence
