Position Summary
Manages a team of individuals responsible for providing accurate and timely resolutions to complaints filed by the Department of Insurance regulators. Acts as point of contact for assigned Regulatory Agencies. Owns responsibility for reviewing and approving benefit contract language development, regulatory submissions, and correspondence, as well as compliance activities as they relate to company products and programs, entity licensing, product development and implementation, including Life, Disability and Accident and Health insurance, Pension, Reinsurance, and Third-Party Administrator and Utilization Review licensing.


Required Qualifications

  • 7 years’ experience in a regulatory and compliance environment with the understanding of State and Federal Regulations relating to insurance.  Communicate proactive notifications to key business areas with regards to critical regulatory requirements and subsequent needed changes and revisions.
  • 3 years of leadership experience providing direction and team strategies to ensure departmental compliance with policies and protocols impacting the business, subsequently providing direction to ensure ongoing team compliance.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly proficient skills in execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting)
  • Highly proficient at collaboration and teamwork to be able to oversee and ensure complaint responses are in compliance with Aetna and State guidelines and regulations.
  • Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
  • Experience working with Regulators or regulations.
  • Proficiency managing sensitive and escalated complaints.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet critical deadlines.
     

Education

High School Diploma

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.40


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
