Job Description Details:

Jointly accountable for the development, improvement and the critical deliverables of processes within the Merchant Product & Global Receivables organization, and the development of controls in adherence to the Enterprise Risk Framework. Requires and ability to influence business partners through strong communication skills and an ability to “translate" business, technology, operations and data requirements into sustainable processes with strong controls with established performance metrics. Attention to detail and demonstrated time management skills are required to consistently meet deadlines. 

Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture.  Critical support partner in the Product organization, providing subject matter expertise focused on process design, delivery, controls and risk mitigation.  Responsible for creating, managing, and updating SPIs, preparing process maps, identifying control points and validating metric effectiveness for product processes, projects and overall change management needs. Gather and organize data in order to monitor and validate the effectiveness of key controls, mitigation strategies and action plans.  5+ years of business process and control design/ risk identification related and/ or Line of Business experience preferred.

The Product Manager role is responsible for Single Process Inventory (SPI) as a team lead and partners with the Front-Line Unit (FLU), Business Controls, Risk, Audit, and other partners across the organization to ensure the management of the SPI inventory is in adherence to the enterprise standards and drives comprehensive and consistent approach to process modeling and process enrichment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Process Owners (POs)/Process Delegates through new process design and enrichment

  • Create and maintain SPI documentation (processes, risks, controls, metrics) within enterprise applications (Process Owner Portal (POP) and Key Measures/ORCIT)

  • Work with Process Owners, Compliance/Risk, and Business Controls partners to respond and remediate process challenges raised by Global Compliance and Operational Risk (GCOR) within established SLA

  • Support remediation for SPI related audit issues

  • Support ongoing enterprise requirements for SPI & ensure SPI deliverables are completed on time

  • Partner with Process Owners to ensure SPI documentation adheres to requirement changes within the Process Owner Portal (POP)

  • Process Design work- Demonstrated ability to map current and future state processes, to identify controls, control gaps and opportunities for improvement.

  • Analytic mind set- Demonstrated experience formulating data driven solutions, through an ability to identify and assess a variety of data sources and channels. Experience using analytics and critical thinking skills to develop strategies and appropriate controls to remediate risk.

  • This position plays a critical role as the day-to-day Product Management support partner to drive out process efficiency and controls initiatives.  The person fulfilling this position must be viewed as a trusted advisor, action oriented partner, able to quickly and effectively integrate into situations requiring attention with a strong focus on assessing and responding quickly to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Engaging with stakeholders across Merchant & Global Receivables and influence their commitment to achieve Enterprise process, control and risk management deliverables, ahead of stated deadlines experience.

  • Executing operational risk efforts, including, but not limited to proactively identifying, escalating and debating control and metric needs, in addition to product process/ control gaps for remediation, including assisting with issue management documentation experience.

  • Building strategic plans and work across multiple business areas within Merchant & Global Receivables and across the broader Enterprise Payments organization to implement requirements on target and on time experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Process Design, Business Controls or Risk-Related functions

  • MS Office products, specifically Excel, Visio, Word and, PowerPoint experience

  • Pick up new information quickly, working independently as a sole contributor

  • Multi-task and collaborate on multiple priorities with multiple Stakeholders

  • Work in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment with the ability to quickly adapt to changing business priorities

  • Effective planning, prioritization and time management is critical for this role

  • Flexibility and adaptability to change in scope of role.
