Business & Team:

Retail Technology (RT) is a centre of excellence within the Retail Banking Digital space and plays an integral part in the purpose and success of CommBank.  We are responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience across all digital touch points.

Within RT, you’ll be part of the Credit Risk Crew in Consumer Finance domain responsible for maintaining and enhancing our world class Credit Risk Systems. The Credit Risk Crew manage different systems from Origination, customer management to data engineering and support multiple lines of business within Retail and non-retail lending. With specific focus on Credit Risk and our deep expertise on Credit risk strategy implementation, we play a key role in meeting group’s regulatory obligations, providing best customer outcomes while decisioning within our Risk appetite.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• As Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be hands-on on Credit Risk Strategies implementation on SAS Programming.
• You will work closely with our Product teams to solve complex business challenges in an agile model, within a squad of highly talented engineers.
• You will use your technical and Credit Risk knowledge to propose and deliver complex solutions and together with your squad, will be accountable for your product line and systems that support it.
• As an Engineer you would also help driving Continuous improvement and upskilling initiatives within the squad, working closely with your engineering chapter. Handle Day to day release activity.
• Implementation of SM code as well SAS code. Work on production incident. Work on Unit & SIT testing. Handle release management.

Essential Skills:

• Having more than 9+ years of experience in SAS and PCSM.
• Hands on experience on PCSM tool (PowerCerv Origination).
• Experience on any programming language, SQL.
• Domain knowledge on CC/PL, HB.
• Expertise working with SAS programming skills.
• Hands on experience in data manipulation using SAS/SQL.
• Sound knowledge of the credit risk domain.
• Excellent capabilities in problem solving, data analysis, and complex report generation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to translate business requirements to technical solutions.
• Highly self-motivated and organised with a proven history of quality delivery.
• Knowledge of python will be advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/ Information Technology
