As a Security Engineer, Incident Management Infrastructure specializing in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) and data stream solutions, you will actively contribute to the strength of our cybersecurity defense. Learn and assist in the implementation and maintenance of the SIEM and SOAR platforms, gaining hands-on experience in threat detection and incident response. Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance improvements for GSK’s Security Infrastructure. This role provides an opportunity to develop foundational skills, actively shaping a secure environment in the face of emerging cyber threats.

Security Solutions Engineer, Cyber Security Incident Management Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Handle day-to-day implementation, monitoring and operational support of hardware, software, customer applications, managed solutions and service provider relationships.

  • Assist in Implementing technical and business requirements for SIEM, SOAR, data stream and other security tools, participate in project reviews, documentation processes.

  • Facilitate complex technology changes on multiple platforms with global customers.

  • Respond to and handle service and escalation tickets within SLA expectations.

  • Actively participate in security team meetings that facilitate secure technical and business design.

  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities based on data.

  • Develop security test plans from architectural design. Identify deficiencies and make enhancements to ensure production is not impacted.

  • Support and provide analysis of service initiatives and technology changes, as directed.

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of SIEM and EDR systems, threat intelligence platforms, security automation and orchestration solutions, IDS/IPS, and endpoint encryption.

  • Experience in Python and shell scripting.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, including software, infrastructure and platform-as-a-service environments.

  • Understanding of network and web protocols.

  • Working knowledge of Windows, Linux and Unix.

  • Understanding of AI technology and trends.
