What You Will Be Doing:
As a product manager within the Inventory area of the business, you will be responsible for building the vision and strategy for The Trade Desk Inventory products as well as integrations with best-in-class 3rd party solutions. This spans across several parts of our customers’ journey and we play a central role in ensuring that we’re able to meet our users where they are and give them all the tools and data they need to be successful.
As a Product Manager at the Trade Desk, your responsibilities will include:
- Owning the strategy, roadmap and execution for an area within the Inventory space.
- Working closely with stakeholders across our Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams - helping to align on strategy and thinking through tradeoffs and customer impact.
- Gathering customer requirements, designing prototypes, prioritizing and scoping releases that represent customers’ needs, and then working with the rest of the engineering team to bring those products to life and iterate on them over time.
What You Bring To The Table:
- You have built complex products that take years of iterations to become great.
- You can easily find answers in data, and quickly iterate on the product.
- 10+ years of Product Management experience in the ad tech space where you demonstrated a sustained track record of making significant contributions to impactful projects.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills both in large and small groups.
- A sustained track record of making significant, self-directed, and end-to-end contributions to large and impactful projects.
- Ability to solve complex, technical problems with creative solutions while managing tradeoffs.
- Experience working with distributed teams.
- Ability to solve complex, technical problems with practical, scalable solutions.
- Durability and grit - sometimes solutions take creative thinking and multiple iterations while dependencies solidify. You try many different approaches to the right answer.
- Entrepreneur -- you have a strong bias for action and use compelling, data-based arguments to convince others and generate progress with meaningful results
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Ability to write detailed specifications that clearly articulate the ‘why’ behind the problem.
