Job Description

As a New York, US Expansion Program Manager, you are responsible for working with leadership teams to run projects and programs that support site mission and goals. This position is responsible for leading programs and projects through the PMI defined five lifecycle phases of a project to achieve specific business goals and objectives defined by site leadership. You will assure accurate design and tracking of programs to predict results and outcomes critical to success. Responsible for tailoring the application of the nine project management knowledge areas to meet the needs of the organization. Passionate about continuous improvement, you are responsible for maintaining programs CI goals. As the project management authority, you will provide project and program management training to team members and work to ensure that the best known methods are implemented.

This position will be an onsite position located in our Clay, New York office once we have available space for team members to be situated. Relocation will be required and provided for individuals who are not located in the area.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Environmental Health, Safety, and Security

  • Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Be an active participant in the EHSS program by reporting all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (ERT, Supervision, etc.)
  • Be proactive in reducing incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards or environmental releases

Act as Program Manager for Assigned FAB and Site Programs

  • Work with program sponsors and collaborators to define the problem to be solved, define project scope, measurements of progress, timelines for achievements and completion, and resources
  • Apply change management principles (ADKAR, etc) to lead the people side of changes needed for program success
  • Define terminology to be used across projects and programs
  • Own the lifecycle for all projects within assigned programs
  • Track the performance metrics for the program and the associated projects
  • Publish regular updates to the organization summarizing project and program performance
  • Develop reports for users on project and program data

Run Program and Project Management Software Systems

  • Administration of the software systems used for project and program lifecycle, database, and reporting
  • Provide PM Training and Documentation
  • Resolve content and source for all project and program management training
  • Build and deliver class content
  • Build and maintain all documentation for site wide project/program management, and business processes
  • Primary contact for sponsor regarding technical performance of program towards metric benchmark
  • Provide consulting to leadership on use of PM skills in site career paths
  • Define, Implement, and Manage PM Business Processes
  • Define, maintain, and continuously improve business processes used to lead the project and program lifecycles

Continue Developing PM Culture

  • Promote project and program management value and business practices to the organization
  • Advocate and demonstrate value and use to all team members
  • Collaborate with sister sites for benchmarking
  • Promote Cost Reduction
  • As a Team Member at Micron, you are responsible for reducing costs associated with your area. This responsibility may include owning and completing cost reduction projects, identifying efficient sustaining/manufacturing improvements, minimizing regular expenditures, and helping to promote a cost conscious culture

Education

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications

  • PMP Certification or Project Management Training desired.
  • +3 years of semiconductor experience

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$102,000.00 - $173,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
