Job Description

Position Summary:

As an Information Security Intern, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to gain practical experience in cybersecurity. You will be responsible for various security-related tasks and contribute to the team's overall success in protecting the organization's digital assets.

This internship is payrolled via a payroll process provider.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, implement, and modify security protocols and measures for systems and applications.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits on local, networked, cloud-based, or internet-related systems.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, investigating breaches, and recommending appropriate actions.
• Assist in the development and deployment of security tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with software developers to ensure secure coding practices and identify necessary modifications.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a BS in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience working with at least one programming language, such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Familiarity with security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
• Knowledge of SQL and database security is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, including collaboration and presentation abilities.
• Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills.
• Highly developed analytical and organizational abilities.
