About This Opportunity 

Are you an organised and proactive professional with a passion for project management and executive support? We are seeking a Senior Officer, Research Projects & Admin to provide critical coordination and administrative support to the First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research Program (FNCWR) lead and drive the success of diverse, impactful projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives, manage stakeholder engagement, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the project delivery cycle, including planning, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Provide administrative support, including tracking project milestones, preparing reports, and managing key deliverables.

  • Oversee the Program Lead's schedule, correspondence, and travel arrangements to ensure seamless operations.

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement by managing communication and supporting collaboration across key contacts.

  • Deliver secretariat support, including organising meetings, drafting documents, and maintaining accurate records.

About You

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in coordinating activities and administration.

  • Proven experience in project coordination, executive support, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks within tight deadlines.

  • Advanced written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with tertiary research support systems or ability to adapt quickly.

  • Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health is an advantage.
