Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

About Team:

Store Associate tech org  develops applications for the associates who work in Walmart Stores and these applications help the store associate to perform their day to day tasks in an efficient manner

What you'll do:

  • Work in an agile and diverse engineering team, closely partnering with data scientists, engineers, and analysts with leadership that will help you grow your career

  • Develop efficient and reliable systems and pipelines to support teams globally throughout Walmart

  • Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; designing solutions (design docs, wireframes, implementation plans); writing and developing code; testing; collaborating with cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery.

  • Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (issue, impact, criticality, root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; and performing actions as designated in the plan.

  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 9-14 years of experience in software engineering

  • Master’s/Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 9 to 14 years of experience in both back-end and front-end development, with proficiency in the following tech stack: React, Java, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of microservice and cloud-native architectures, with hands-on experience in designing and deploying scalable systems.
  • Strong understanding of micro-frontend architecture with hands-on experience in designing.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to enhance development workflows and ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated track record of effectively addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A strong commitment to mentoring and supporting team members, contributing to their professional growth and the team’s overall success.
