Salary Range:
$118,000.00 - $154,000.00
What’s the role?
The Buyer Experience Team is focussed on driving excellence and connection in the customer experience. We believe in the need to maintain a rigored focus on craft and consistency in order to bring our strategy and mission to life. In this role, you will be defining and designing new experiences and improving on existing ones in close collaboration with cross-functional product partners in engineering, research, analytics, marketing and product management.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Product Design. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What’s this team like at Etsy?
Product designers at Etsy work in a squad alongside a product manager, 4-6 engineers, a researcher and a data analyst. Together they drive their own part of the Etsy customer experience by delivering solutions to problems and getting feedback directly from customers.
What does the day-to-day look like?
Designing polished, interactive prototypes to bring your team’s roadmap to life
Sharing your work with peers and leadership to collect feedback and iterate
Taking part in weekly design critiques, workshops, and squad meetings
Thinking and writing about your process and documenting your decisions
Collaborating with engineering to build your design to spec before launch
Collecting feedback through both research and experimentation to refine and iterate on your designs

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
4+ years of professional experience working in product design
Ability to develop work that represents strong understanding of design fundamentals (visual hierarchy, interaction design, application of brand and system)
Effective articulation of ideas and design solutions
Share feedback with understanding and clarity, and easily translate feedback you recieve into your work
Tolerance for ambiguity and healthy curiosity
Translation of quantitative & qualitative insights into design decisions
Contribution to our culture: motivation, optimism, quality, integrity
