Position Summary:

Xylem is looking for a Senior Field Service Technician to service our customers throughout the Gulf Region.

What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician:

The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for membrane exchanges of our water purification equipment at various customer sites. This position reports to our Houston, TX office and requires 20-30% travel throughout the Gulf Region. This will require a DOT medical card and the ability to upkeep a DOT DQ file.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization
  • Takes care of company property
  • Works with more advanced and multi/complex systems
  • Proactively trouble shoots systems for mechanical electrical equipment conditions
  • Anticipates and corrects safety issues for both company and customer owned equipment
  • May be responsible for work in multiple systems locations or customers
  • Responsible for the escalation and leveraging appropriate company resources to address issues with personnel and customers
  • Provides coaching or training to entry-level technicians

Position Requirements:

Required:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Tech cert or degree or industry specific licenses
  • Technical military background preferred
  • Ability to obtain TWIC card
  • 5-7 years technical experience including industrial or commercial process water experience
  • Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices
  • Must have customer service experience
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability
  • Blueprint reading & drafting required
  • Knowledge of P&IDs electrical and plumbing highly preferred
  • Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to maintain DOT Medical card compliance.
  • The ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the work shift.

Has ability to lead coach guide and motivate

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 20-30% or more
