Role Mission

Own and execute high-impact internal and external events that drive business strategy, enhance employee engagement, and strengthen the brand of Launch Potato and its portfolio companies. You are a partner to the executive team, ensuring seamless execution, measurable ROI, and a world-class experience for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Must Have

  • 5+ years experience in event management, corporate event execution, or trade show operations.
  • Tech-savvy; proficient in Google Sheets/Excel, Google Docs/Word, instant messaging tools like Slack, budget tracking.
  • Experience working with executives; ability to clearly communicate, anticipate needs, and prioritize according to business strategy.
  • Strong budget management, vendor negotiation, and cost-optimization experience.
  • Proven ability to tie event strategy to business goals and cross-functional team success.
  • Ability to distill information into clear, concise reporting.
  • Ability to navigate high-pressure situations, proactively solving challenges in real-time.
  • Data-driven with ability to analyze event ROI metrics, survey data, and lead conversion impact.
  • Experience creating marketing collateral and swag.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.

Key Outcomes

High-Impact Event Execution

  • Work with Executive Team to understand business strategy and "the why" behind our events strategy.
  • Plan and execute all external and internal events, ensuring seamless operations and measurable business impact.

Continuous Improvement of Company Culture

  • Meet or exceed internal employee event satisfaction metrics.
  • Plan and execute office on-sites, off-sites, and team-building events (in-person & virtual) that strengthen company culture.

Strategic Business Alignment

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to ensure events contribute to sales/marketing goals like lead generation, brand awareness, and revenue growth.
  • Implement pre-show planning and post-event analysis to optimize trade show outcomes.
  • Establish data-driven metrics to track event success and continuously improve strategy.

Budget & Financial Accountability

  • Own and manage the annual event budget, working closely with the Finance Team.
  • Ensure cost-effective events execution and expense tracking.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts to optimize spend and increase event value.
  • Keep budget variance within 5% of projections, providing data-backed justifications for investments.

Office Champion

  • This role is required to be local to our Delray Beach HQ in-office 5 days per week, with flexibility as you grow in your role.
  • Ensure a welcoming and organized HQ experience for employees, guests, and stakeholders (e.g., new hire training, team on-sites, client meetings, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary liaison for team office visits, in-office experience, and engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with office admin, working closely with Executive Assistant to manage tasks (be the face of the office, receive packages, greet visitors, organize team lunches).

Operational Efficiency & Scalability

  • Develop repeatable processes to streamline event planning and execution.
  • Reduce operational bottlenecks to support the goals of other departments.
  • Continuously refine workflows to improve efficiency and event outcomes.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel may be required up to 8 times per year.

  • Experience with Asana.
  • Experience working with graphic designers to create marketing collateral.
  • Strong competency in social media/content marketing (e.g., LinkedIn).
  • Proactive in establishing your own network of event planners.

TOTAL COMPENSATION

Base salary is set according to market rates for the nearest major metro and varies based on Launch Potato’s Levels Framework. Your compensation package includes a base salary, profit-sharing bonus, and competitive benefits. Launch Potato is a performance-driven company, which means once you are hired, future increases will be based on company and personal performance, not annual cost of living adjustments.
