Key Responsibilities

  • Uses Structured Query Language (SQL) to gather and assess data on a daily basis from the reporting database, transactional database, operational data store, and external systems to assist internal and external leadership in decision making. Documents program data requests, results, SQL code, and logs time in the Asana tracking system.
  • Authenticates and interprets data based on results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to more complex data mining, using approved analytical models and ensuring adequate QA of output and results, and that findings, results, methodology, SQL code, and time spent on requests are logged in the appropriate tracking system i.e., Github and/or Asana
  • Communicates and disseminates the results of information gathering using BI software, and/or Excel to name a few, as per the agreed timing, whether this is daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or aggregated level data.
  • Continually assesses data quality throughout the database and coordinates with MT in the correction of source data or creation of translation sources, where applicable. Where appropriate update the related documentation related to the reporting or analytical ask.
  • On at least a monthly basis researches and identifies best practices for business data analysis via published literature, formalized training and professional development efforts and ensures that this is distributed to the larger team and key stakeholders.
  • Using specific tool capabilities such as Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau etc., analyze, visualize, and where appropriate publish to internal and external stakeholders the data findings.
  • Monitor the data and trends to support continuous quality improvement efforts using performance metrics development and monitoring, and effectively communicate this to stakeholders via scheduled meetings, or where required appropriate escalation.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Preferably a 4-year degree or equivalent experience. (Computer science, engineering, analytics, finance, or business)

Critical Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics.
  • Basic skills with SQL, Excel, data visualization, and analytics tools. 
  • Good communication and presentation skills in presenting analytic results and findings at all levels internally and externally.
  • Detailed understanding and experience with process documentation and improvement for gaining operational efficiency.
  • Ability to see the business picture from the analytics data.

Additional Skills

  • SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI etc.,
  • Healthcare industry, highly preferred

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$71,800 - $119,600
