Primary Job Function:

Determination of the clinical and pathophysiological health status of the donor animals used as starting material for the production of a pharmaceutical ingredient. In this role, you will also be responsible for auditing of the porcine pancreatic glands supply chain (slaughterhouses, cold stores, etc.).

What You Will Do:

  • Slaughterhouse auditing and continuous monitoring and assessment of the animal disease situation in the supplying countries and in the countries bordering them;
  • Clinical and pathophysiological condition of the slaughtered animals assessment during audits; results must be document; the animal health conditions of the donor animals as "fit for human consumption" must be assessed.
  • Assessing compliance with legal regulations and Abbott requirements regarding traceability along the supply chain, GMP; food safety, HACCP, GxP and animal welfare.
  • Documenting results in the plant's quality assurance system.
  • Travelling worldwide up to 50% of time.

Requirements:

  • Qualification as veterinarian (university).
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Quality awareness in high extend.
  • Team player, communicative.
