​​As a Market Pricing Analyst within Revenue Management you will be responsible for setting price points across several points of sale for our Americas portfolio, in line with market pricing strategy.  The key objective is to revenue maximisation while ensuring and maintaining competitive tariffs which will be achieved through close analysis of assigned markets and through developing of business cases which support pricing recommendations.

This role will analyse competitor activity and pricing, monitoring day to day actions of competitors and recommending competitive responses aimed at maximising revenue. You will evaluate fare proposals and action them in line with market pricing strategies whilst proactively identifying areas of change and improvements, proposing solutions that create value.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring market pricing activity is commercially astute, accurate and timely.
  • Monitoring and analysing competitor activity and pricing daily.
  • Evaluating requests and recommending pricing actions to maximise revenue in line with market pricing strategies and Qantas demand patterns.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and execution of market pricing strategy, plus monitoring competitive position by point of sale and origin and destination.
  • Tariff design that is optimised to cover a range of demand periods, including usage of fare fencing to maximise load and yield from specific customer segments.
  • Communicating with Demand Forecasting and Inventory teams to extract maximum possible benefit from pricing and inventory decisions, plus collaboration with other stakeholders such as American Airlines and Jetstar.
  • Proactively identifying areas for improvements and proposing solutions to create value.

You’ll have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role with airline revenue management experience highly beneficial
  • Working knowledge of pricing, revenue and commercial principles
  • Self-starter, able to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment and to handle simultaneous projects
  • The ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate across different teams and departments
  • Proven strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions based on data insights
  • Strong interpersonal skills with focus on collaboration, co-operation and communication
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Experience with ATPCO preferred
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Business, Finance, Economics or similar
