Thomson Reuters is seeking to hire a Business Retention Specialist to sell solutions across the entire portfolio of products in order to retain existing customers through renewal sales. This position requires consultative selling techniques, relationship building and leveraging market knowledge to drive incremental revenue growth. In this role you will need to build relationships at all levels within the customer organization as well as influence key stakeholders on both the value proposition and strategic direction of Thomson Reuters.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Business Retention Specialist, you will:
Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients
Identify opportunities to sell additional products or services by conducting customer needs assessments
Develop and execute a retention strategy for each client
Use data analytics to understand trends in customer usage patterns and develop action plans accordingly
Provide support during renewal periods including preparation of contracts and negotiating pricing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product development, sales operations and marketing to ensure successful outcomes
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures while adhering to local laws and regulations
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions via CRM systems like Salesforce
Conduct research into competitor offerings to stay up-to-date on industry trends
Participate in training sessions to improve skills related to consultative selling approach
Attend regular meetings with leadership team members regarding progress towards goals
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Business Retention Specialist if your background includes:
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered
2 years' experience working in a sales capacity, preferably within a SaaS environment
Experience with enterprise software solutions, preferably legal information products
Knowledge of Thomson Reuters products strongly desired
Strong understanding of the customer journey and how it relates to renewals process
Demonstrated success achieving renewal targets
