Job Summary:

Data Governance Lead Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing our data governance strategy. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and security while promoting a culture of data stewardship across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data assets.
Data Compliance: Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, or other relevant standards, and establish data protection mechanisms.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and data owners to define data governance roles and responsibilities and foster a culture of data ownership.
Metadata Management: Manage metadata repositories and establish data lineage, data dictionaries, and data catalogs.
Data Governance Framework: Design and maintain a data governance framework, including data classification, data access controls, and data life cycle management.
Data Stewardship: Appoint and train data stewards within the organization to monitor data quality and compliance.
Data Governance Tools: Evaluate, select, and implement data governance tools and platforms to streamline data management processes.
Data Governance Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on data governance performance and compliance to senior management.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data governance and proactively recommend improvements to the data governance program.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

- Data Governance Oversight and Coordination a. Establishes the end-to-end process of operational data framework for assessing decisions that ensure the suitability of data for its intended purpose. b. Executes enterprise data governance strategies for operational data in line with the organization`s business strategy and objectives. Works with customers of operational data to ensure alignment. c. Oversees the creation of data governance policies and standards for operation data, fields and metrics. d. Works with organizational data governance management tools. e. Assesses data repositories for compliance with data governance policies and standards as it pertains to operational data types. Works with all areas of the business to ensure data quality and integrity. f. Creates and manages problem lists and audit reports.
- The oversight, adherence and improvement of the quality of operational data and metrics a. Develops and executes data quality strategies for operational data in line with the organization`s business strategy and goals. b. Works with individual operational data sources and users and transaction level business owners to define and establish data quality rules and definitions consistent with department and organizations strategies. c. Develops data quality metrics that identify gaps and ensure compliance with standards across the enterprise. d. Establishes data quality process, governance, and issue tracking process tools. e. Works with business and IT partners to remediate identified gaps using both manual and automated solutions. f. Establishes processes to continuously monitor data quality. Ensures processes are in place to proactively detect, correct, and prevent invalid data values.
- Leadership and Other duties a. Coordinates other team members, systems, and processes to achieve organizational goals in accordance with organizational policies and practices. b. Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, thus affecting the results of the operating area. c. Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance, and maintaining open communications. d. Develops others through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments, and establishing performance development plans. e. Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree Degree related to business operations, data management or healthcare a plus. Required

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 7 years 7+ years experience with managing/analyzing data/metrics or data governance is required.
    Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
    Hands-on experience with data Governance tools.
    Ability to leverage critical thinking in all aspects of work product design and delivery.
