Join our team of oncology nurse navigators! At OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center, you will deliver nationally recognized, patient-centered care for all types of cancer. You will also gain access to some of the nation’s best physicians, advanced technology, innovative cancer research, and extensive clinical trials. In this position, you are the expert oncology nurse navigator and will work with a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered, comprehensive care in the outpatient setting.
General Description:
Under limited direction, functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, interpreter, educator and counselor for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, procedures and standards. Knowledge of the principles of supervising staff. Skill in planning and organizing nursing care, applying advanced nursing clinical skills, maintaining records and charts, preparing written reports and in maintaining effective working relationships with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
