As part of the Digital Finance organization, our team focuses on creating, configuring, and operating digital products, platforms, and solutions that facilitate Pfizer's core finance functions.

The Manager role is a hands-on technical position responsible for developing and supporting data transformations related to Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, Compliance, Treasury, and Managed Market Finance reporting on both on-premise and AWS cloud platforms. The position also includes the delivery of proof of concepts, small-scale development projects, and maintenance projects.

The ideal candidate for this role should have a comprehensive understanding of budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting processes, along with their practical application in solving intricate business challenges. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer application support and conduct routine maintenance for financial reporting applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Troubleshoot, identify, and swiftly resolve system-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain system integrity.

• Lead project deployment activities, ensuring tasks are completed timely and to the highest standard.

• Manage infrastructure configuration, keeping systems up-to-date and running efficiently.

• Facilitate smooth transition of new applications into the support model for seamless integration and minimal disruption.

• Enhance operational efficiencies through continuous improvement strategies.

• Collaborate with the solution delivery team to explore and validate potential opportunities for system optimization.

• Maintain and continually update support operating procedures and work instructions to reflect current best practices and regulatory compliance.

• Actively support compliance-related activities including thorough audit preparation and effective disaster recovery execution.

• Strategically prioritize tasks for the local team to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field

• 5 years of demonstrated experience working in development and/or support teams

• 2 year of strong demonstrated experience with AWS Technology

  • Understanding of core AWS Services, Architecture, and Best Practices

  • Experience in Developing, Deploying and Debugging AWS Cloud-based applications

  • Ability to use the AWS Service API, AWS CLI, and SDKs

  • Ability to interact with the AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, and others

  • Experience with AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Services) and AWS ECS (Elastic Container Services)

• Experience with database technologies (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Aurora)

• Experience with ETL Tools (Informatica, Talend, etc.)

• Proficiency in developing solutions using at least two programming languages such as Python, Spark, PySpark, or JavaScript is must.

• Ability to learn and implement solutions using  new technological landscape.

• Familiarity with the Github source control platform and proficiency in utilizing Github Actions for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities

• Strong interpersonal skills in building customer relationships

• Ability to work independently and or in a global team setting across time zones

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Pharmaceutical life science domain experience

• Exposure to Finance reporting applications

• Project Management expertise in managing multiple projects

• Familiar withSDLC/Agile methodologies

• Exposure to DevOps processes

• Exposure to Spotfire/Tableau/MicroStrategy

• AWS certification
