The Senior Tax Analyst works closely with the Senior Tax Manager for timely completion and filing of the company’s federal and state income/franchise tax returns and extensions/estimates, prepare the quarterly and year-end tax provisions (ASC 740), as well as perform research on various federal and state income tax issues.  This position is also involved in special tax projects involving tax analysis of mergers and acquisitions and various internal tax planning projects.​

 

*Preference will be given to candidates located in the Phoenix, AZ area. However, we are open to hiring fully remote as well. *

What you will do to contribute to the company's success 

  • Work with the Senior Tax Manager to prepare quarterly and year-end domestic tax provisions (ASC 740)
  • Maintain quarterly SOX checklists as applicable
  • Assists with responding to information requests from F/S auditors
  • Prepare federal and state income tax estimates and extensions
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns
  • Assist with responding to various tax authority requests/notices/audits
  • Stay up to date and conduct tax research on various federal and state/local income tax issues
  • Assist with managing the Federal and State tax books for fixed assets
  • Assist with the tax aspects in pre-acquisition diligence and post-acquisition integrations
  • Streamline the tax compliance/provision process and implement system/process improvements
  • Work with cross functional teams to educate non-tax colleagues on tax related matters

 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 2 years tax experience at national public accounting firms or a minimum of 3 years for non-public tax experience.
  • BA in Accounting, Business or related field
  • Masters in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • CPA certification, preferred
  • OneSource experience preferred
